PRE-K April Newsletter

Spring is finally here, and that means the classroom is "bursting" with excitement. April is a month of celebration, exploration and discovery. We begin our unit on FARM ANIMALS. Throughout this unit, the children will learn about the names, sounds, and how to care for these animals. As the month progresses, we will celebrate EARTH DAY and will develop awareness of the earth's natural resources {air and water}. The last part of April the children will learn about care, uses, and parts of a flowering plant.

THINGS YOU CAN DO AT HOME:

• At mealtimes, discuss various parts of plants we eat.(e.g lettuce=leaves of a plant)
• Let your child help you recycle old cans and paer around the house.
• Go on a flower hunt with your child at a local park or garden.
