Overview
This year in the eighth grade science class we are studying the Periodic Table. The topic that I have picked for my assignment is Elements. Elements are put in order by their atomic number.
In the Periodic Table the elements are divided into nonmetals, metals, periods and groups. My favorite element is gold. Gold is a type of metal. The symbol for gold is Au. Gold is expensive in the society today. It is mostly used in jewelry. Another one of my favorite elements is Aluminum. The symbol for aluminum is Al. Aluminum is used in airplanes, cars, trucks and foil. When I use aluminum foil, I cover up plates at home. Aluminum is a good conductor for light and electric energy. Some people use aluminum to make light. Aluminum is a bad conductor for heat. My science project that I worked on in class was about aluminum.
