I haven't read the book Roots yet, I plan on reading it real soon. I think that you can learn a whole lot about slavery and other things just by reading and watching the movie Roots. I think that Roots is very challenging. You may not understand it the first time you read it. It is something that you will enjoy doing over and over.
I am going to tell you a little bit about Roots. Roots is about a young man name Kunta Kintay who was a free man in Africa. One day he was going to get some skin so that he could make a drum for his little brother. Then some slave owners came and captured him. He then became a slave and they named him Toube. Toube then got married and had kids and his kids had kids and their kids had kids. Most of them died and many of them became free African Americans.
