How to fix the problem with handwriting recognition? Answer: go to SYSTEM PREFERE NCES, then go to INK, then change it so that it looks like this with handwriting on but with "allow me to ink in any application" to be off as you see here

We finally reached consensus on this room, putting the smartboard on the EAST wall which is close to where Candace's current desk is located ... school will take the corkboard off that wall which Candace says NOT TO REMOUNT ... school can throw away or reuse elsewhere the blue file cabinet says Candace ... this revised plan allows the wonderful mural on the West wall to stay as is and avoids any need for an electrician

PLEASE CHECK TO SEE THAT THE SMALL APADTER WIRE IS FIRMLY PUSHED INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE SPEAKER WHICH HAS THE USB HUB BUILT INTO IT. Also confirm that the green light on the speaker in bright green , this will indicate the power is on. Do not be fooled by the light green glow that appears when the usb wire is attached to the speaker , this will produce a lighter glowing of this same LED.  If you still have a problem , let me know and I will send someone to take care of it.

Thanks!

March 2008: gigathanks to Rob Sugarman and Bill Luther from tequipment from Farmingdale NY for one of the most shocking acts of generosity we have ever seen on 129th street. Coming out on Friday 3/7 to do a routine walk-through and to choose 2 or 3 rooms for a mounted projector and smartboard, the two of them forced me (Steve Bergen) to sit down after 33 minutes so they could share the "facts of life" with me. Unwilling and reluctant I sat down and was shocked to hear that they wanted to put mounted smartboards and mounted projectors into each of our 15 classrooms at no charge, along with training our entire faculty. Speechless, stunned and shocked, it has taken me days to recover and understand the magnitude of this generous gift and the enormity of how it is going to impact our school. Cilck on the picture above to see their picture with several Storefront students in the computer lab.
