President Obama is attempting to stimulate the economy by borrowing a trillion dollars. Most of us know that one trillion has 12 zeroes and looks like 1,000,000,000,000. It is much bigger than one billion which has 9 zeroes and looks like 1,000,000,000. And of course 1 billion is much bigger than one million which has 6 zeroes and looks like 1,000,000. But can any of us picture what these words mean?
At The Children's Storefront we have begun a project in Harlem to gather 1,000 pennies, then 1,000,000 pennies, then 1,000,000,000 pennies. We thank each and every person (and organization) for helping us!
