Photoshop Assignment 2

1. Using 1 of the BP pictures within "school pix" on First Class, change to resolution of 72 dpi, crop it so that it will be exactly the size of a piece of paper (8.5" by 11") ... this involves proper use of both the IMAGE SIZE and CANVAS SIZE tools
2. Put a border around the picture that is 1/2 inch wide. Remember that 72 points make an inch and therefore 36 points = 1/2 inch. To do this, you choose the color with the eyedropper and then SELECT ALL; now you choose STROKE which means BORDER. Your color must match one of the colors within the picture.
3. Find a famous person whom you like and make sure you note the URL ("Uniform Resource Locator") of the Web site. You will need to put this URL ("web address") onto your canvas.
4. Download the picture to your computer and then launch it into Photoshop. You may need to change the image size before you try to bring it into your BP picture.
5. There are two different methods for bringing the picture in which we will call the "Boston method" and the "NY method"
   --> The Boston method involves the rubber stamp tool
   --> The NY method involves COPY, PASTE and selecting with the magic wand to do an intelligent erase.
   
6. You will need to include a sentence on the picture that says "this picture is from the web site of ???"
7. Please put your initials in a corner. Make sure you FLATTEN and save as a JPEG ("medium quality") and post on your BLOG.
