Spreadsheet Assignment for Grade 8 given out 4/16 and due by 4/23 (Tuesday)
Pick any data from one of your current Storefront classes
Type it onto an Excel spreadsheet the way we did with the one of "teams and wins" -- all you need is about 5 categories and 5 numbers
Make sure you do not skip rows or columns ... all the data must be contiguous which means no gaps and no blank rows or blank columns
Make sure you have titles at the top, the way we did with "teams and wins"
Make sure you do not put words in the second column, i.e. do not write any words when putting in the numbers; Excel knows when you type numbers and flushes them to the right
You need to have one cell contain a mini-paragraph of your writing in which you explain to the reader where the data is from, what it means, why you chose it and what the graph shows. This mini-paragraph (several sentences) needs to use the WRAP feature that we learned in class! You type the 1 or 2 sentences into one cell and then after pushing RETURN or ENTER you choose FORMAT then CELLS then ALIGNMENT then WRAP TEXT ... click here for menu steps
